Por Vida is a short documentary that examines my family trying to cope with the inevitable loss of my grandmother while revisiting moments in her life in Costa Rica. Blending animation with contemporary vérité style footage, Por Vida explores the themes of displacement, memory, and mortality. Por Vida has been selected to be a part of the 2022 New York Lift Off Film Festival and the Oaxaca Film Festival.
